Say Whatever You Can Cause I Can Laugh It Off

A World First

Posted in Blog by polyworld on September 22, 2008

So this is my new site. I felt compelled to write about world events, especially with what has transpired over the past month locally. Not to mention the rest of the stories captured from around the world.  Anyways I’m still getting things figured out and what not, hopefully I can rework some settings to make this page a little more “is sexy time now?” and a little less “fail”.

Tragedy

No words can really describe how this feels for my friends.

http://www.citynews.ca/news/news_28002.aspx

That happened in the house attached to my friends house.  His sister was the one who called the police.

What’s happening to our city?

http://www.citynews.ca/news/news_28052.aspx

That’s about a 5 minute drive east of me.

What is wrong with our city?

Do you know?

Do you have good luck?

Posted in Blog by polyworld on October 9, 2008

So you know how some people have great luck, win the lottery, get that promotion over you or just generally have better luck than you?   Well let me introduce you to someone who doesn’t.  Actually I guarentee you have better luck than this person.

Clint Malarchuk

If you haven’t heard of him before, well – youtube his name and see for yourself (be warned that it contains squimish activity)

So after you google his name and read about that.

This happens

Now I understand that some people should be more careful, but the odds of a shotgun going off while you are placing it on the ground is pretty slim. Otherwise you’d hear about every hunter blowing their legs off.

So next time you get mad over someone cutting you off or stepping on your foot.  Or even maybe you get upset if someone that smells sits next to you on the bus – remember that you must likely aren’t in as much pain as this guy.

Now if you disagree, please immediately go to the store – but a skate and slit your throat with it. Upon completing that please buy a shot gun and shoot it at your chin – then you can argue with Clint Malarchuk as to what was worse.

Oh wait…..I see what they did there…

Not a lot to say about this.  Probably not news worth, but I find it humorous.  Last night I turned on the television to see 5 girls dancing around to a song called “When I grow up”.  Apparently hookers are now able to dance and sing and get paid for it?  Yeah thats right,  “When I grow up………….I wanna be talentless and get paid for showing my body.”   I coulda sworn those were the lyrics, it would be a serious diss except for the fact that they don’t even write their own lyrics.

To put things into perspective from the other side of the world.

Ugh.

We can’t even elect a Leader who asks where his speeches come from?

Over and Over and Over Rollercoaster…

Posted in Blog by polyworld on September 25, 2008

A look into the moments before your typical shooting in my city:

“I can haz gun?”

“I can uze gun?”

“No Cigarettes?”

“Can I shootz yoouz?”

“Look Ma’ I Shotz Himz”

That’s about as far as the intellect goes these days, or at least I would assume about our average shooter. Taking into account that they have enough mental capacity to formulate the thoughts needed to actually pull the trigger.

What gives? I’m sure if we ban guns, we’ll most likely just see a rise in stabbings, people are dumb, so therefore they will always find a way to be dumber. There’s no stopping it:

Loud and Clear

Posted in Uncategorized by polyworld on September 24, 2008

If you aren’t from the Toronto area, you probably have not heard of the double homicide that occurred here a few months ago. Two men were shot and killed while sitting in their vehicle outside of a friends apartment. No they weren’t doing anything illegal, they were simply sitting with their seat belts on, along with a passenger in the backseat. Fast forward to now, the men are dead and the woman is most likely in a permanent state of shock while the shooter is free to do what he pleases.

You know, I totally get it. I understand the government doesn’t want crime to end, they don’t want violence to stop. I understand, they have to take that stance because without a population in fear, they have no control. Fine, I get it. However, why not at least make simple steps to fine tune their stance, maybe instill fear into society another way, without taking innocent lives? Is it even possible?  So before you go vote and elect a new form of “Power”, stop and think about how governments are in place to act on the peoples wishes. With that said, they also are in place to make money (money > people).

A Brief Run-Down

Posted in Uncategorized by polyworld on September 23, 2008

So here’s what I’m reading at the moment.

http://www.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/europe/09/23/finland.school.shooting/index.html

I can’t really begin to understand why students feel the selfish need to fulfill their dying wishes.  “If I can’t be responsible enough to do something with my life, then why not take all my peers with me!”

Yeah that’s how I see it.  Being a student myself, I can understand that sometimes not everyone will like you, but does that mean they deserve to have violence brought upon them? Scrap the guns, next time someone feels like doing this,  replace the guns with pie/pizza and whip them as hard as you can at people. Now there’s some selfish fun!

The New Facebook

Posted in Blog, Facebook by polyworld on September 22, 2008

So by now if you haven’t heard, the “new” facebook is sweeping the nation taking victims left right and centre. Perhaps not really thinking through or understanding the entire reason behind the change, I think the publics response is a little one sided. However, I signed the petition and will continue to try and navigate through my page unable to find most things. If you haven’t had a chance yet, check out the petition, sign it and hope that maybe it will encourage the most recent 20 year old millionaire to redesign his site into something a little more user friendly.
